Kirala island is an island tucked away in the middle of picturesque Bolgoda Lake, just a few kilometers from the old Galle road in Moratuwa,Take the old bridge to the left and few kilometers down adjacent to Ramadia Hotel you will find the entrance to the kirala island a true paradise island in every sense of the word Its installed in the serene waters of bolgoda lake and is just less than 2 minutes away in the boat ride,all you have to do is call the hotline when you get near the entrance and they will send a boat right away to pick you to the island, It’s full of nature and as it’s interpreted in the name itself Kirala’ is full of kirala trees right around the island. 

The best time to visit is the evening as the sun sets above the trees far away its sets a magical atmosphere in the serene waters, occasionally you will hear speed jets going around the island.



Its is a family venue where you can visit with your entire family and get away from the noisy city life, you can wine and dine to your heart’s content as you can take your own drinks if you are in to hot beverages. They have a menu perfect for the sri lankan pallets from fish and chips, French fries, deviled chicken to Hot butter cuttlefish at a very affordable price and will not flatten your wallets for sure,
